I was born in Columbia, South Carolina and lived in Northeast Columbia until I graduated from Spring Valley High School with High Honors. I attended Clemson University from 1994-1998 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resource Management. Since graduation, I have worked with Forestry Consultants managing thousands of acres of timberland and have managed several historical lowcountry plantations. My family set up permanent residence on Edisto in the 1940’s and opened Edisto’s first marina and shrimp house. They ran various shrimp boats that supplied local fresh seafood to island residents and visitors. This is where I found my passion for the coast and wanted to continue the legacy of living in paradise for my own sanity and for the benefit of my children. I moved to Edisto six years ago and feel very fortunate to wake up each morning to another day on Edisto.
